Johnson Roofing has been a successful family-owned and operated roofing business since its founding in 1941 in Waco, Texas. Jack Johnson and his son Bill would travel to job sites all over Texas with shingle-packed horse trailers in tow while Jack’s wife Margaret handled office responsibilities.
Today, Bill Johnson and his daughters Sherri and Shawn manage a streamlined operation located on a 700-acre ranch outside Waco. The Johnson Roofing “family” has grown to include approximately 250 full-time workers with 60 sheet metal field professionals, 4 sheet metal shop workers, a 10-member sales team, and an office staff of 25. Horse trailers have been replaced by a fleet of installation vehicles. A full-service custom Sheet Metal Department with state-of-the-art roofing and sheet metal equipment including computerized breaks, shears, lifts, and cranes enables Johnson Roofing to adapt to metal roofing’s emerging market and new technologies.
