Berridge Manufacturing Company, a leader in the architectural metal panel industry for over 40 years, is hiring an experienced, full-time Inside Sales CSR to assist customers, representatives and architects with sales and technical related inquiries associated with Berridge products for assigned territories.

The principal function of this position is to:
Assist customers, outside sales reps, contractors and architects with sales orders and technical related inquiries regarding all Berridge architectural metal products.

The ideal candidate should possess and demonstrate the following:

  • College degree or 5 years experience in a construction related field.
  • Customer service and sales experience.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of Navision a plus.
  • High-level, self-motivation, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Punctuality and professionalism.
  • Ability to write and speak Spanish is a plus.

BRANCH MANAGER

The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of the Berridge Manufacturing Branch office including operations, product sales, customer service, and security/safety in accordance with the corporate headquarters objectives. Provides a superior level of customer relations, guidance and staff motivation, and achieves individual and branch sales goals through active participation between outside and inside sales management. Delegates day to day office operations to branch personnel, and required to perform all duties in the absence of personnel.

The Branch Manager must have the ability to:

  • Plan, organize and manage goals and branch procedures
  • Understand, interpret and explain Berridge’s Product Line
  • Manage daily operational procedures
  • Identify and analyze administrative problems and implement changes
  • Communicate effectively with Higher Management, Berridge Branches, and Employees
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all BMC Personnel
  • Organize and Prioritize work assignments
  • Supervise the management and records of material inventory
  • Have an understanding of all shipping procedures
  • Evaluate, obtain authorizations, bids, and oversee building maintenance
  • Answer questions for customers, contractors and architects
  • Understand all accounting functions
  • Understand Navision Procedures
  • Recognize and respect limit of authority and responsibility
  • Perform other duties as assigned by higher management
  • Plan, coordinate, and initiate actions necessary to implement policy and administrative decisions
  • Operate and be certified on a forklift
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate an overhead crane
  • Maintain lease roll formers
  • Maintain shop equipment

The Branch Manager should have the strength, patience, coordination, and vision to manage the facility. The ability to speak and hear sufficiently to communicate clearly and effectively with all BMC personnel. Occasional lifting of objects weighing over 20 lbs, moving from place to place within the plant, and sitting or standing for long periods of time are all significant physical characteristics of the Branch Manager.

FIELD INSPECTOR

The San Antonio, Texas branch of Berridge Manufacturing Company, a leader in the architectural metal panel industry for over 40 years, is hiring an experienced, full-time Watertightness Warranty Inspector to perform inspections on metal roofing installations.

The principal function of this position is to:
Inspect roofing system installations to ensure compliance with pre-approved installation drawings.

The priorities of this role include:
Inspecting roofing contractors’ work, writing daily inspection reports, photographing and uploading digital pictures of contractors’ work, communicating with customer’s representatives, assisting with quality assurance testing of products and materials, and constructing assemblies for R&D and performance testing as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess and demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:

  • Extensive understanding of metal roofing and construction industry.
  • Experience in project safety, quality assurance compliance, and inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with construction inspection techniques, including the ability to use construction field equipment and record construction data.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting construction plans and details, books of standards, special provisions, and specifications for proper construction.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to prepare and present detailed reports and write professional business correspondence.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
  • Ability to write and speak Spanish is a plus.
